As a Technical Specialist E&I, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of advanced industrial installations. Working at one of our client’s energy-related facilities in the Netherlands, you will take ownership of maintenance activities, inspections, and improvement initiatives across electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
In this role, you will work in a highly technical environment where your expertise directly contributes to operational continuity. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams while independently managing tasks and coordinating contractors. Job description

As a Technical Specialist E&I, you will independently perform first-line and corrective maintenance on complex process installations, both low- and high-voltage, as well as instrumentation and control systems. Your tasks will include:

  • Troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and automation-related faults
  • Performing preventive maintenance and ensuring the safe operation of installations
  • Analysing incidents and providing technical recommendations for improvements
  • Coordinating technical activities and guiding contractors and third parties
  • Acting as a sub-project lead for small to medium investment projects, ensuring execution within time, scope, and safety standards
  • Supporting operations by planning and aligning maintenance activities with production
  • Advising the Asset & Maintenance Manager on priorities, risks, and system improvements

You will work in close collaboration with the site’s Operations team and contribute to continuous improvement of reliability, safety, and plant integrity.

What you bring

To succeed in this role, you bring strong technical insight and the ability to work independently within a complex industrial environment. You have:

  • 5–8 years of experience in electrical, instrumentation, or automation maintenance, ideally in the energy or process industry
  • Strong affinity with high-voltage components 
  • A completed Red Seal qualification as Electrician or Instrumentation Technician, or a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or similar
  • Additional training in process automation or control systems (advantageous)
  • Experience coordinating maintenance or project tasks with contractors
  • The ability to set priorities and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
