Maintenance Technician – Poultry Processing (3-Shift System)

Job description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in keeping production operations running safely and efficiently. You will work within a close-knit Technical Department of approximately five colleagues and a team leader. This role requires both mechanical and electrical skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a production environment.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and installations
- Troubleshooting and resolving faults in both mechanical and electrical systems
- Supporting production processes by ensuring maximum machine uptime
- Working with control systems and taking part in improvement activities
- Supporting Saturday day-shift work on a rotating basis
- Operating within a 3-shift system
What you bring
This role takes place in a cooled environment (around 2°C) within a slaughtering facility. The site is highly automated, clean, and fully compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
What you Bring:
- A Red Seal Trade Certificate (Millwright or Electrician) or equivalent technical qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance within a production or process environment.
- A solid mechanical background, complemented by knowledge of sensors, PLCs, or control systems.
- Problem-solving skills and a keen eye for continuous improvement.
- Willingness to work in a 3-shift system.
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans with a readiness to learn Dutch.
