Lead Electrical Engineer

Job description

Electrical engineering projects. You lead a team of engineers and modelers while ensuring high-quality technical output and project delivery.

Your responsibilities include:

You coordinate and develop electrical designs, ensuring that calculations, specifications, and system layouts meet the highest technical standards. You work on a wide range of installations, including medium- and low-voltage systems, lighting, fire detection, communication networks, and smart building technologies.

In addition, you guide and support your team, monitor progress, and safeguard quality, budget, and planning. Working within a BIM-driven environment, you collaborate closely with other disciplines to deliver integrated engineering solutions.

You contribute to innovative projects such as energy-neutral buildings, WKO systems, PV installations, and digital design applications, helping shape the future of sustainable infrastructure.

What you bring

You are a technically strong and proactive engineer who enjoys taking ownership and leading complex engineering challenges. You combine analytical thinking with a hands-on approach and strong communication skills.

You bring:

  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar engineering role
  • Experience with building-related electrical installations and sustainability projects
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and engineering standards
  • Experience with BIM environments (Revit is an advantage)
  • Strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to think beyond standard solutions
