Allround Maintenance Technician

Job description
In this role, you will be responsible for the technical availability of production equipment across the facility. You will perform corrective and preventive maintenance, resolve faults, and ensure all systems run according to safety and quality standards. Your work will vary from repairing packaging lines to maintaining cooling systems and implementing technical improvements.
- You will work both independently and as part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team, where knowledge sharing and collaboration are essential. Tasks include:
- Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on production systems, utilities, and automated equipment.
- Troubleshooting faults in mechanical, electrical, and PLC-driven systems.
- Conducting preventive inspections and planning corrective actions to prevent downtime.
- Contributing to technical modifications, improvement projects, and process optimisation.
- Supporting safe operation of machines and ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Working in a rotating 2-shift system and assisting during planned weekend work when required.

To succeed in this role, you bring a strong technical background and a hands-on, proactive attitude. You enjoy solving problems, working in a team, and delivering reliable technical performance.
We require:
- A completed Red Seal qualification (Millwright, Electrician, Fitter, or Instrumentation Technician).
- Several years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar technical role.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and fault-finding.
- Willingness to work shifts and participate in standby rotations.
- A strong team mindset, good communication skills, and a positive attitude toward learning.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
- Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands and learn Dutch.
