As a Service Technician specialising in Instrumentation & Control Systems (I&C), you will play a key role in shaping healthy, comfortable and sustainable environments within complex utility buildings. From hospitals and schools to universities and office campuses — you’ll ensure that essential control systems operate at peak performance. Service Technician – Instrumentation and Control Systems

You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of Measurement & Control (M&R) installations and Building Management Systems (BMS) in utility buildings.

Your tasks will include:

  • Performing scheduled and corrective maintenance on M&R systems
  • Troubleshooting complex malfunctions and providing structural solutions
  • Participating in a rotating on-call service (1 week every 8-10 weeks)
  • Advising clients on energy savings and system optimizations
  • Coordinating activities during client-sensitive moments
  • Preparing clear, professional maintenance and inspection reports

You will also be a key contributor in discussions around system upgrades and sustainability measures, supporting both client goals and operational excellence.

What You Bring

You are a confident and independent technician who can communicate clearly and act as a professional representative of the organisation. You work well under pressure and have a strong sense of responsibility.

In addition, you bring:

  • A Red Seal Trade Certificate in Instrumentation Technician, Electrician or a closely related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in M&R technology, BMS, or similar installation environments
  • A valid driver’s license (Code B)
  • Strong Afrikaans skills; willingness to learn Dutch
  • VCA-VOL certificate (Health & Safety) (or willingness to obtain)
