Service Technician Mechanical Installations

Service Technician Mechanical Installations
You will maintain and repair mechanical installations such as ventilation systems, water supply networks, and heat pumps across various public and commercial buildings including airports, hospitals, and educational institutions. Each day you determine your tasks in consultation with your team and the client. Your responsibilities include:
- Performing scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs on HVAC and water systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving faults swiftly, both remotely and on location
- Coordinating with the site’s technical manager and subcontractors where needed
- Ordering necessary materials and ensuring proper administrative handling
- Participating in an on-call rotation every eight weeks for emergency services outside business hours
- Engaging directly with clients to align on timelines and respond to questions
Who You Are
You are a proactive, communicative, and reliable technician who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. You’re structured and client-focused, with a genuine passion for technical problem-solving. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A Red Seal certification as a Millwright, Fitter, or equivalent in mechanical systems
- At least 2 years of experience in building or mechanical installations
- A valid driver’s license
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate independently
- Willingness to be on standby for emergency services periodically
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English – and motivated to learn Dutch

Our client is a major technical services provider in the Netherlands, delivering complex, large-scale maintenance and service projects in critical infrastructure locations. At Schiphol Airport, their dedicated team ensures building systems remain operational and efficient, directly contributing to public safety and comfort. You’ll be joining a diverse and tight-knit team of over 35 technicians, engineers, and service planners working together with pride and purpose.
