Service Technician – Utilities

Our client in Amersfoort is looking for a skilled Service Technician to maintain and improve installations in large-scale utility buildings such as offices, universities, and hospitals. You’ll be part of a collaborative and dedicated team, combining innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship.

- Base salary between €4.200 – €5.000 gross per month (based on experience)

Service Technician Utiities
As a Service Technician, your role is key in ensuring climate systems are safe, sustainable, and always operational. You’ll perform regular maintenance, resolve technical issues, and support system upgrades.
Specifically, you’ll:
- Perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC installations and building management systems
- Diagnose and repair complex faults in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Work project-based and participate in an on-call rota every 8–10 weeks (evenings/weekends, well-compensated)
- Engage with clients onsite to plan and execute tasks with minimal disruption
- Write clear reports after each service call or project
- Contribute ideas for improving energy efficiency and system performance
You will be working mostly independently, but with strong support from your local team in Amersfoort, who meet regularly for planning, bonding, and fun.
Who You Are
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be both technically savvy and professionally confident. We’re looking for someone who thrives under responsibility and believes in team success.
- Red Seal qualification in Millwright, Instrumentation, Fitter, or equivalent in mechanical systems
- Minimum of 2 years in service and maintenance in a utility setting
- Experience in a client-facing role or coordination function within technical service delivery
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- VCA-VOL certification or willingness to obtain it
- Valid driver’s license (Code B)
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans, and comfortable working in or learning Dutch
