Project Maintenance Engineer
Join a production site that is investing heavily in electrification and sustainability. As Project Maintenance Engineer, you focus on project-driven modifications and new installations within a high-tech manufacturing environment. You’ll work in day shift alongside a fellow Project Maintenance Engineer and report to the Maintenance Manager. While the Technical Department handles periodic maintenance, you lead technical projects—from scoping to handover—and act as the Installation Responsible for electrical installations. This role suits a hands-on engineer with strong electrical insight, solid mechanical understanding, and proven experience in a production setting.

Job description
- Investigate and advise on upgrades or improvements to existing installations, automated systems, and processes.
- Engineer approved (sub)projects and detailed plans; lead execution to deliver safely, on time, and to spec.
- Initiate and implement maintenance projects that secure production continuity and equipment reliability.
- Serve as Installation Responsible (IV) for electrical installations: safeguard compliance, safety, and technical asset management.
- Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Manager, work preparation, and external service providers; document decisions and results.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power/Energy Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
- Several years’ experience delivering maintenance projects in a production/processing environment.
- Strong command of English and Afrikaans with a willingness to learn Dutch.
- Experience with PLC-driven equipment (Siemens) and drives is advantageous.
- Proactive, structured, and comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders in a live plant environment.
