Primary Engineer – High Voltage Projects
As a Primary Engineer, you’ll design and develop critical components of the Dutch high-voltage infrastructure. Your responsibilities include planning and engineering new installations between 50 kV and 150 kV — ensuring they’re technically sound, cost-effective, and future-ready.
You’ll be a key figure in both renovation and greenfield projects. From concept to execution, your work supports safe and stable energy distribution — and accelerates the energy transition.

- Base salary between €4.200 – €6.300 gross per month (based on experience)

Your Activities Include
- Designing primary components for high-voltage substations and switching stations
- Creating engineering documentation and overseeing material specifications
- Coordinating tenders, reviewing contractor bids, and supervising outsourced work
- Leading technical coordination across project disciplines
- Ensuring design packages are complete, safe, and regulation-compliant
Who You Are
You bring senior-level technical know-how, project insight, and a solutions-first mentality. You understand the complexity of high-voltage installations and are confident leading technical decisions. You value collaboration, quality, and long-term impact.
You bring:
- A completed National Diploma, BTech or BEng in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (NQF Level 6-8)
- At least 5 years of experience in power transmission or utility projects
- Strong technical knowledge of primary installations and safety codes
- Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
- Valid driver’s license (Code B)
- CHS certificate or SACPCMP registration (or willingness to obtain)
