Mechanical Systems Technician 

As a Mechanical Systems Technician, you are responsible for the realisation and maintenance of mechanical installations such as HVAC systems, heat pumps, sanitary systems, and cooling units. You will:

• Ensure mechanical installations are completed and operational within agreed timelines
• Collaborate with a team, often working alongside electrical colleagues in a multidisciplinary setup
• Carry out projects at high-security and unique locations, including military facilities
• Act as the main contact on-site for supervisors and junior technicians
• Share your knowledge and coach apprentices and subcontractors
• Identify opportunities for technical improvement and innovation — your voice matters

Each project varies in duration — some last a week, others half a year — and your planning takes your location into account as much as possible.

Who You Are

You’re an experienced and reliable professional who enjoys sharing knowledge and working together to get the job done. You bring initiative, independence, and a positive attitude to your team.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Red Seal qualification in (Millwright, Fitter, or equivalent in mechanical systems)
• Experience as a technician with solid knowledge of tools and materials
• A valid VCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one
• Strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on mentality
• The flexibility to work on-site and in rotating teams
