Junior Primary Engineer – Medium Voltage Systems
As a Junior Primary Engineer, you’ll help design the infrastructure that powers the Netherlands. From medium-voltage substations to distribution networks, your engineering contributions are vital to keeping the energy grid efficient, reliable, and ready for the future.
You’ll work closely with experienced engineers on both new construction and system upgrades. Whether you’re preparing material specs, reviewing supplier bids, or coordinating with other technical disciplines — this role gives you the foundation for a long-term engineering career abroad.

- Base salary between €4.200 – €5.700 gross per month (based on experience)

Your Activities Include
- Assisting in the design of primary installations for substations and cable connections
- Preparing engineering specifications and assisting with tenders
- Supporting the evaluation of quotations and contractor proposals
- Collaborating with engineers from other disciplines to align technical solutions
- Reviewing engineering packages and supporting project execution
Who You Are
You are motivated, hands-on, and eager to grow in the world of engineering. You enjoy working in a structured project environment and contributing to real solutions for energy infrastructure. You are precise, curious, and a team player.
You bring:
- A completed National Diploma or BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 6 or 7)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical projects or engineering design
- Knowledge of power systems and/or substations (advantageous)
- Readiness to work in multidisciplinary teams and learn European standards
- Valid driver’s license (Code B)
- CHS or SACPCMP certification (or willingness to obtain it)
