Instrumentation Technician

Instrumentation Technician
As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement and control systems that support critical industrial processes. Your work will range from calibration and maintenance to troubleshooting and commissioning, making you an essential link in keeping operations efficient, safe, and sustainable.
- Install, configure, and calibrate sensors, transmitters, analyzers, and control valves.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in PLC/SCADA connected instrumentation.
- Support commissioning activities, including loop checks and signal verification.
- Document all technical work, including calibration records and test results.
- Collaborate with automation, electrical, and project teams on installations and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and technical standards.
What You Bring
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- A completed Red Seal qualification (Instrumentation Technician or Electrician) or equivalent diploma in
Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering. - At least 3 years of work experience in instrumentation and control within an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems.
- Hands-on experience with measurement and calibration (pressure, temperature, level, flow).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and instrumentation loop diagrams.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans, with willingness to learn Dutch.
- A valid driver’s license.
