Electrical Service Technician – Infrastructure Projects

Our client plays a leading role in maintaining, upgrading, and modernizing technical installations across the Netherlands. From tunnel systems to water treatment and energy infrastructure — they keep it running. As a Service Technician, you’ll take on a key role in inspecting, maintaining, and resolving malfunctions in complex electrical systems. Whether it’s at a pumping station, energy substation, or in a tunnel, you’ll ensure everything operates safely and efficiently.

- Base salary between €4.200 – €5.000 gross per month (based on experience)

Electrical Service Technician – Infrastructure Projects
As an Electrical Service Technician, you’ll support the maintenance, renovation, and optimisation of complex electrotechnical and control systems across key infrastructure in the Netherlands. These include tunnels, bridges, water barriers, pumping stations, and sluices.
You will:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including electrical fault-finding and repairs
- Handle first-line fault resolution on location, and coordinate second-line support when needed
- Conduct measurements and inspections, and log your findings in technical reports
- Commission electrotechnical components and systems
- Participate in scheduled on-call shifts, contributing to 24/7 mobility services in the Netherlands
- Work independently and in small, collaborative teams on high-impact public infrastructure projects
What You Bring
You are hands-on, reliable, and proactive, with the ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure. You enjoy teamwork and take pride in delivering high-quality, safe technical service.
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- A Red Seal Trade Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of NEN 1010 and NEN 3140 standards
- At least 2 years of experience in service or maintenance roles, preferably in infrastructure environments
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts when required
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English – and motivated to learn Dutch
